Our Youth Fair, having the theme of healthy living and healthy choices, takes place on May 17th, with 5-6:30pm for parents of youth and 6:30-8 for youth 12+. Our goal is to have this youth fair be an opportunity for youth and parents to access information about local resources that pertain to them and their interests! We will have some booths from organizations around our community as well as attractions and activities for the youth to enjoy, such as the rock wall being open, food and BBQ, door prizes, music, etc. There is power in information, and so having a multitude of valuable resources all in one place for youth and families to access will be fantastic! Come check it out!
Take a look at this!! On Tuesday evening we hosted a Youth Fair for parents and youth 12+, showcasing some of the valuable community resources that are available all around us. With an amazing turnout of over 120 parents and youth, there was lots of fun to be had, with everybody walking away with a bag full of goodies and an abundance of information. We would like to thank and highlight all those that were a part of this event, which include Saffron, Family and Community Support Services, Fort Saskatchewan Public Library, EIPS Career Pathways, Careers Under Construction, Nait, MacEwan, UofA, Strathcona BGC CanTeen, The Bridge Youth Wellness Hub, CALLS Fort Saskatchewan, Fort Sask Falcons Football, NK Henna Art, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP, and Mix 107.9. We also want to extend thanks to those who helped support the event, including North Central Co-op, Legacy Barber, Millers, Primary Care Network, 7-11, M&M Food Market, Fort Cinema, Dow Centennial Center, and Harbour Pool. Keep an eye on our social media to see the winners of the door prizes from the event and for more information on programs and resources that BGC Fort Saskatchewan has to offer for families, children, and youth! Thank you, everyone!
