The Fort Saskatchewan Boys and Girls Club will be hosting Trees and Bees: An Environmental Awareness Fair on April 21st, 2020 to celebrate and acknowledge Earth Day!
This event will include a a variety show performance put on by members of the Boys and Girls Club and the community, and feature opportunities for attendees to visit booths to learn more about eco-friendly products and bid on silent auction items.
To be a part of the Trees and Bees! Variety Show, please fill out either a solo or group audition registration form and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off in person at The Club. Acts can include singing, dancing, poetry, acting, or other performance art, but must be focused around the Earth, environmental awareness, or climate action. Please keep acts to five minutes or under. Audition registration forms are due by Monday, February 24th. Applicants will be contacted and auditions times will be scheduled for March 3rd or March 8th.
Community Art Contest
In addition to hosting a variety show, we are holding the Trees and Bees! Community Art Contest open to all children and youth in the community! The winner of the contest, as decided by a selection of Boys and Girls Club staff, will be featured on a reusable tote bag that will be sold at the event. In order to enter the contest, children and youth must create one original design, on the art contest form provided, focused on Earth Day, climate action, or environmental awareness . Submissions can be scanned and sent to email@example.com or dropped off in person to the Club. Art Contest submissions are due Monday, February 10th.
